Avid - 1 or 2 day optional training

We have a special AVID week coming up, depending on how far you wish to go / upskill, that will equip you with a crucial, sought-after skill in the edit.
There are two options;
One-day – in-person – Tuesday 21st July – 10-530pm (Standalone day)
This is more of an intro to Avid, leaving you with the basics to syncpull / reorder a sequence. Perfect if you haven’t had much of chance to use Avid and want to be able to say you can sync pull with confidence.
· Familiarisation with the Avid MC interface
· Creating a User Profile
· Viewing rushes
· Creating a "stringout" sequence from a rushes bin
· Creating a syncpull
· Re-ordering clips in the syncpull
· Removing and adding/inserting content
· Introduction to the Trim Tool
Two-day – in-person – Wednesday 22nd July – 10-530pm (Optional extra)
(Please feel free to just jump on Day 2 if your basic AVID skills are up to scratch)
Having completed day one as above, you will advance onto the finishing touches in Avid, with plenty of tips and tricks to top up your sync-pulling skills.

Tim Young is an award-winning Avid Editor and Avid Certified Instructor. Tim brings over 20 years’ experience of editing broadcast programmes to his teaching and provides Avid training at London South Bank University, Edinburgh Napier University.
