Do you work in unscripted and want to understand better how to commission and work with VFX? If so, this one-day primer is not to be missed.
Aimed at experienced producers, PMs, production accountants and others in unscripted, this course will demystify the world of VFX, giving you a thorough overview of the VFX production pipeline and marketplace, including:
- The practical applications of VFX in unscripted production
- Who does what in a VFX production team
- An overview of the VFX market and what different companies offer
- How to collaborate effectively with a VFX team so that their work integrates seamlessly with your shoot and edit timelines
- Budgets and scheduling
- How to maximise impact without blowing your budget
- New technical developments in the VFX market and how that might impact your project
- The future and AI
Over the course of the day, delegates will get learn how VFX can elevate unscripted projects, as well as the process from pre-production planning to post-production delivery. Through case studies, real-world examples, and interactive exercises, producers will learn how to strategically leverage VFX to solve on-set challenges, enhance storytelling, and add production value.
Whether it's compositing, 3D modelling, or green screen work, this course empowers producers to integrate cutting- edge VFX techniques into their workflows, ensuring a smoother and more creative production process.
The course is taught by leading VFX Producers, Supervisors and Unscripted Line Producers, and is being delivered in person at key locations around the UK with additional online masterclasses.
No prior technical experience in VFX is required, making this an accessible and essential guide for anyone looking to stay ahead in the evolving world of unscripted production.
To apply, you need to have an established track record in unscripted production at producer level or similar. We are particularly keen to attract applicants working in unscripted productions that contribute to the HETV fund.
