An intensive course providing you with a grounding in the key principles and practices of the work involved in film and television drama production management.

Over the three days, delegates will learn how to break down a short script which they will schedule, and have a full understanding of all the elements which go into making up the budget.
The course tutor is a Drama Production Manager/Line Producer with a wealth of experience of feature film and television drama productions.

Who it's for? 

Production coordinators and junior Production Managers who want to take on more responsibility with confidence, and progress to bigger, more challenging productions and roles.


Delegates should have experience at production coordinator, AP or producer/ director level or the equivalent.


By the end of the course trainees will be able to successfully manage the production of a programme or project from initial pre-planning to post production, and be able to demonstrate an awareness of how to budget and co-ordinate the compliance and rights issues surrounding common programme scenarios.

Do I need to bring anything to the course?
It’s advisable to bring a pen and some notepaper. Otherwise, all you need is a receptive mind and your energy and enthusiasm.

Is lunch provided?
We keep you replenished with teas, coffee, biscuits and fruit. We don’t provide lunch – although there are a number of sandwich shops, cafes, restaurants close by, as well as a supermarket.

What if I have to cancel?
If you cancel more than 10 working days before the course date, you will get a full refund. If you cancel with less than 10 days' notice, or once the course has been confirmed, the full course fees are still due. We will however endeavour to get you onto to a future course as and when we have a spare space. Although this cannot be guaranteed and will usually involve you being offered the place at short notice, we have a great track record of making sure people get their training – even it takes a bit of time.
